If you are interested in any aspects of live theatre such as acting; singing; dance; set design; stage management; costume; technical theatre making such as lighting and sound, you will find a warm welcome at this friendly busy society. We are also keen to welcome members who might be interested in, for example, photography and video-making, publicity, poster-design – there is no end to the many ways you can get involved in what we do.
If you are a young person ( 8 to 18) keen to enjoy drama and theatre and make new friends , why not come along and join Preppies, our thriving Youth Theatre? Preppies YT meets at Ponteland Memorial Hall every Friday from 6.30 in term-time – termly fee – £50. It is open to all, without restriction and all members of Preppies have the chance to take part in the Repertory Society’s shows without further audition, if suitable parts are available. Recently, they have taken part in pantomimes, musicals and plays eg. Aladdin, Oliver! and The Wind In The Willows, as well as our 90th Anniversary Celebration Around the World in 90 Years and each summer Preppies YT presents a Summer Show where members themselves have the chance to direct and stage-manage as well as perform.
